For Guests of Glenwild Mountain Home
We recommend Breckenridge Sports for your ski and board rentals. It is 400' from the house, and at the base of Peak 8, downstairs from the BreckConnect Gondola. They offer a discount for booking online prior to arrival. Excellent customer service and equipment.

For regular multi-day passes for out-of-state visitors to ski at Breckenridge and Keystone, there aren't any/many ways to purchase discounted tickets. My best recommendation is to purchase your pass online prior to your visit using Peaks discounts.
If you plan to ski at Breck more than one week during the season, look at a season pass. http://www.snow.com/passsales/
If you aren't sure how many days you want to ski, buy the lesser package (i.e 4 of 6 days). If you decide you want to ski more days, you are able to upgrade to the higher number for the same price you would have paid online. You can only do this once during your stay. Confirm this as the rules change each year.
Copper Mountain's website is www.coppercolorado.com . Four day pass for $139 available online.

If you need lessons, check out the combined lift/lesson packages and buy one less day of lift tickets on your lift purchase. The lesson is only about $30 more than the price of a full day lift ticket. You can buy these in advance or at the base of the slopes. This only applies to Beginner lessons.

For reasonably priced one-way or round-trip door-to-door transportation between all the resorts in Summit and Eagle counties (Breck, Keystone, Copper, Vail, Beaver Creak etc.) call www.FreshTracksTransportation.comat 970-453-4052. Fresh Tracks also offers shuttle rides from DIA.
If you plan to rent a car at the Denver airport make your reservations as soon as possible. Especially in winter when you need an SUV or 4WD, the weekly rates can be quite high. Use a travel agent if you can't find decent rates online. Before you arrive, be sure to signup for the rental company's preferred status so that you don't have to wait in line to pickup your vehicle (this can add another hour delay in getting to Breckenridge).
Arrive as early in the day as possible during winter/snow months so that you are driving into the mountains during daylight. Check-in time at the house is 4pm. Plan on 2 hrs of travel time from car rental office to the house.
The Breckenridge Free Rideprovides transportation throughout the town of Breckenridge. The free ride takes you anywhere in the town of Breckenridge and to the ski mountain on half-hour intervals (more often during morning and afternoon during ski season). The Black Line runs up Ski Hill Road during ski season only.

Here are a few of our favorites...
Hearthstone - 130 S. Ridge Street - this is probably the best in town; charming Vicotrian with fantastic food!
Soupz On! - 400 N. Park Ave. - next to City Market - soups, salads, breads; their happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. is the deal!
Blue River Bistro - 305 N. Main Street - they have entertainment on the weekends
Relish - 137 S.Main Street - upstairs location near the park; has a great view of the mountains; same owners as Twist
Twist - 200 S. Ridge Street - quirky comfort food with a "twist",hence the name; fyi service is kind of slow so allow time!
Mo Dis - 113 S. Main Street - upstairs location; great menu... more this!
Fatty's Pizza - 106 S. Ridge Street - great specials; great locals favorite
Blue Moose - 540 S. Main Street - across from Main Street Station, this is my favorite breakfast spot!
Breckenridge has a nice City Market near the roundabout as you come into town. We keep discount cards on the bulletin board at the house. They don't sell alcohol - there is a package store near the grocery store and they are closed on Sunday's.
There is another smaller grocery store on Ridge Street near the Post Office.
